The Zephyranthes

Elizabeth Seaver

Color, design and texture have always been present in my creative endeavors. I find great joy in the process of creating art and in exploring ways to use and combine newly learned techniques.
In college, I was drawn to printmaking through the incredible work of Albrecht Durer. The printed image, with its contrast of black and white, negative and positive space appeals to me. I began painting when I moved to Fredericksburg in 2000. I have studied with local artists Karen Richards, Johnny Johnson and Bill Harris, and Maryland watercolorist, Dave Daniels.
I have a studio at Liberty Town Arts Workshop in downtown Fredericksburg. I also teach classes in painting and printmaking there. Go to www.byelizabeth.com to see more of my work.
